When you add your App Password to CoPost, it gives CoPost the ability to read your account details and act as you to perform tasks like posting.

• Login to your Bluesky account.
• Go to settings in the left-hand menu.

Not to worry. App passwords do not give apps like CoPost the ability to perform destructive tasks against your account like changing passwords or deleting.

Make a note of your Bluesky ID.

• In settings, your Bluesky ID will be near the top.
• Copy this ID and save for later in a text editor such as NotePad.

This will be the ID you use when connecting within CoPost.

Now to create your App Password.

• In settings, scroll down until you see the App Settings option.
• Click it to open it up.

• In the App Password area, click on the Add App Password button.

The name you create here is just for your reference.

• Type a unique name or use the suggested name that the app gives.

TIP: If you connect your Bluesky account to other applications similar to CoPost, we recommend creating an App Password per application.

Your new App Password.

• Click the copy button and save it alongside the ID you saved earlier.

• Your App Password is now created.

Now for the CoPost part.

• In CoPost go to the Social area from the left navigation menu.
• Click on Connect from the Bluesky card.

• Click on the 'Add a Bluesky account' button

Add your Bluesky details.

• Copy and paste the ID and password you saved earlier into the fields
• Click Connect

Your account should now be connected.

• CoPost will now go and collect basic info about your account which is the display name, account ID and profile pic.
• You can now use your Bluesky account like any other social account within CoPost.
